Suzuki GSX-R 1000 Service Manual: Battery current leakage inspection
Inspect the battery current leakage in the following procedures:
- turn the ignition switch off.
- Remove the front seat. Refer to “exterior parts removal and installation” in section 9d (page 9d- 6).
- Disconnect the battery (–) lead wire.
- Measure the current between battery (–) terminal and the battery (–) lead wire using the multi-circuit tester. If the reading exceeds the specified value, leakage is evident.

6).

Fuel and oil recommendation
Fuel (for USA and Canada)
Use only unleaded gasoline of at least 90 pump octane
(r/2 + m/2).
Gasoline containing mtbe (meltyl tertiary butyl ether),
less than 10% ethanol, or less than 5% methanol with
appropriate cosolvents and corrosion inhibitor is
permissible.

Gearshift shaft oil seal / bearing removal and installation
Removal
Remove the gearshift shaft. Refer to “gearshift shaft / gearshift cam
plate removal and installation” .
Remove the gearshift shaft oil seal (1).
Remove the bearings (2) and (3) with the special
tools.
