Suzuki GSX-R 1000 Service Manual: Turn signal / side-stand relay inspection
Refer to “electrical components location” in section 0a .
| Note make sure that the battery is fully charged. |
Before removing the turn signal/side-stand relay, check the operation of the turn signal light.
If the turn signal light does not illuminate, inspect the bulb, turn signal switch and circuit connection.
If the bulb, turn signal switch and circuit connection are ok, the turn signal relay may be faulty; therefore, replace the turn signal/side-stand relay with a new one.

Isc valve preset and opening initialization
When removing or replacing the isc valve, set the isc
valve to the following procedures:
turn the ignition switch on.
Set up the sds tool. (Refer to the sds operation
manual for further details.)
Click the “active control”.
Click the “isc learned value reset” (1) ...
Vehicle identification number
The frame serial number or V.I.N. (Vehicle identification
number) “a” is stamped on the right side of the steering
head tube. The engine serial number “b” is located on
the lower crankcase. These numbers are required
especially for registering the machine and ordering
spare parts.
