Transmission installation
Install the transmission in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
Bearing and oil seal
Caution
replace the removed bearings and oil seals
with new ones ...
Countershaft gear / driveshaft gear
disassembly and assembly
Refer to “transmission removal” and “transmission installation” .
Disassembly
Caution
identify the position of each removed part.
Organize the parts in their respective groups

Remove the fuel tank. Refer to “fuel tank removal and installation” .
Remove the fuel pump assembly (1) by removing its
mounting bolts diagonally.

Refer to “rear shock absorber removal and installation” .
Shock absorber
Inspect the rear shock absorber for damage and oil
leakage, and absorber bushing for wear and damage. If
any defect is found, replace the rear shock absorber with
a new one.

Inspect pair system
every 12 000 km (7 500 miles, 24 months)
Inspect the pair (air supply) system periodically. Refer to “pair system
inspection” in section 1b .
